On the Massachusetts Ballot there were 3 questions that were up for voting.
The questions were the following
1.) In 2009 cut income tax by 50% then eliminate income tax in 2010
2.) This will make it so that if you are caught with a small amount of marijuana < 1 oz. you will get a fine rather than criminal charges.
3.) Ban dog racing in Mass. This would put 1000’s of people out of work.
Now I agreed with questions 1 and 2 but I disagreed with question 3. My opinions really do not matter so let’s get down to what the real voting results were.
1.) NO
I am not entirely sure why the majority of people did not want the tax cut especially with how the economy is today. I personally wanted this tax cut. I know I as well as many other residents could use it.
2.) YES
You will now be able to posses up to an ounce of marijuana without it going on your criminal history. You will get a fine though.
3.) YES
Sure with the way the economy is lets just put thousands of people out of work and onto the street. I can only imagine how many peoples homes will be foreclosed on now. Dog racing brings a lot of money to the businesses in the area, you need to keep in mind people come from all over to to to the races. They are spending money at local shops and hotels if they come from out of town, all income businesses will not have now. So yes you can now carry up to an ounce of marijuana but god forbid dogs running around a track.
I personally cannot wait to get away from “Tax-A-Chussets” personally.
What are your thoughts or feelings on these ballot questions?
This morning I made sure that I found time to go out and cast my vote. We walked the kid to school and then walked to the voting station. I was shocked that I did not have to wait in line. Actually the entire process took me 10 minutes max. This was my first time voting at an election, however I think now that I am getting older I will pay more attention and be sure to vote all the time.
I voted for Obama of-course. I also voted on the local state level. This is how I voted for the local level on Questions 1-3:
1.) YES
2.) YES
3.) NO
Did you get off your butt today and vote yet? Let me know!
It seems like I am constantly going over these this question all the time with a friend. He is a McCain supporter and I like to give him crap for it!
If I had to choose right this minute it would be Obama. I do not like the methods that the McCain campaign is using to try to discredit their opponent. I do not like they they have contradicted themselves so many times. If you contradict yourself once ok, twice you’ve met the line. As many times as McCain, you’re a damned liar!
I have been following all of this stuff not entirely because I want to but because I have been working most recently on Politics.com which has been a lot of fun.
A lot of people think this is just another sham but I can guarantee you that it is not. The investors of the company are the sole investors and have plenty of money from other sources to back it up.
Anyway back to the McCain or Obama question. Please let me know your thoughts. You really cannot believe much that comes out of a politicians mouth, they are much like a car salesman. They will tell you anything to sell themselves to you. I want YOUR opinions good or bad, just try to keep the racism out of them for my sake…

The last few months have been keeping me so busy that I have not been able to post anything on my blog. I am happy that I am able to post about the public launch of Politics.com.
The site will be going live around 3PM EST today. If you have any interest in politics please head over and see what I have been working on. It has been a long few months but I am proud of what the team and I have accomplished.
Politics.com is a social networking site, think of Facebook and YouTube combined into one with only one topic “politics”.
You can post news, blogs, videos whatever you want. You can even help determine what lands on the front page by contributing to the site. Making comments on or endorsing an article will help it’s overall ranking on the site.
I admit that in the past I have never really been that political but after working on this site I have been paying more and more attention to things. I am still not sure who I want to win or whether I am a Republican or Democrat. I still have more time I am in no hurry to rush my decisions.
Let me know what you think of the site!
With all of the media coverage of the presidential candidates it has sparked my interest. Oh yea and also my work on the soon to be launched Politics.com. I started to read up on the differences between the Democratic and Republican parties.
I have more reading to do but after reading wikipedia and reading issues from both presidential candidates I would have to say that I am probably a Democrat. I still have more reading to do before I make an educated decision. Right now I am wondering, which are you?
