Netflix in the past?

Last night I was looking at my Netflix Queue of movies when I noticed that there was an advertisment at the top stating that Fathers Day was June 15 why not send them a nice gift. The issue is that it is now July 11th. How did this one slip past those developers?? I guess they have no date checking clause on showing that message.
