Toyota, Thinking about the future

I was checking out The News Room a bit more to see what they had for technology news and I thought this was really cool. They have created a single seat car that can operate at slow speeds for around the house (you would have to be really lazy lol) and at faster speeds for on the road. The vehicle looks really sweet. I wonder what the price point will be when they actually come to market. I couldn’t see them being any more expensive than a road bike but you never know. Bleeding edge technology is always more.

I could see myself cruising around town in one of these. I wonder what the insurance rates will be for these things hehe. One thing they don’t touch on in the news video is how fast it will actually go. It’s a gas and electric hybrid. I would guess that it could reach speeds of 60 mph so that you would not be holding up traffic on the highways haha. I would so pimp this out with sub-woofers and go cruising.

What do you think about the future of transportation? Coming from Toyota it HAS to be good. Their cars and trucks are known to be the best at lasting forever. The bodies fall apart but the engine doesn’t die.

A New way to make money

I was browsing through PPP to see what new offers were out there and I ran into one from The News Room. It seems really cool. If you are looking for timely and relevant news for your site you should take a peek. You can get paid for “mashing” news on your site. If you put a video on your site you can get paid for every time it is viewed on your website. I think YouTube needs something like this lol.

I have only spent a few minutes going through the content on their website but it seems to be really good. I have signed up for an account and will put things on here that peak my interest.  I have just tried to integrate this into my site.  I do wish they had smaller sized boxes with the video’s or allow you to embed just 1 video.  It also seemed to play tricks with my layout so I might have to mess with the CSS for the elements to make it “look” good on my site.  I am not sure if that will violate the terms of service or not, but if it does I won’t be using it on my site as it completely breaks the layout.  I will post more about how I get it to work once I figure things out.  It does look very promising and I hope to use this on the site.
